There are a three options for Pilates with the Lloyd’s Wellbeing Centre; we offer 40-minute one-to-one sessions, a combined 60-minute one-to-one Pilates & Massage session, or a regular Wednesday 40-minute Pilates class in the Lloyd’s building. Something for everyone!

Pilates is a form of exercise which concentrates on strengthening the body with an emphasis on core strength. Pilates aims to also enhance balance, flexibility, and muscular coordination, making it a popular choice for individuals seeking a low-impact yet effective form of exercise to improve general fitness and overall well-being. Pilates is suitable for individuals of all fitness levels and is known for its ability to enhance both physical and mental well-being through a holistic approach to fitness and rehabilitation.

One-to-one Pilates

Our massage therapist, Dorothy Kovacs, is also a Pilates teacher and offers private one-to-one sessions. These are available either as an individual 40-minute Pilates appointment, or as a 60-minute appointment which includes Pilates and a massage session.

Pilates classes (in a group)

Group 40-minute Pilates classes every Thursday (from April) in the Lloyd’s building. Your teacher, Dorothy Kovacs, finds Pilates to be an invaluable tool for promoting overall wellbeing and fostering a proactive approach to healthcare. These classes take place in the ‘Social Hub’ in the Lloyd’s building and we will arrange a visitor building pass for anyone who doesn’t have one. Please bring your own Pilates mat and towel! (We do have some spare mats if you forget yours though).
