Join us for a week of personal exploration and a journey of self-discovery – where nature meets spirituality.
The retreat takes place in a stunning Spanish villa, set within the beautiful Madrid countryside. The villa offers gorgeous surroundings in a garden of pergolas, rich in vegetation and ethnic decoration from around the world. You will be looked after by your hosts and experienced teachers, Maria and Violet. Each day you will be treated to a selection of delicious, fresh, local and healthy homemade food.
The retreat combines creative vinyasa flow yoga with stress relief techniques and practices. Your mind and body will learn how to heal itself from the inside out, through deep levels of meditation, asanas and exploring different styles of movement.
The flow of the retreat.
Mornings will focus on healing the mind and body, with particular emphasis on stress relief, through meditation and Sanskrit chanting combined with vinyasa flow yoga. You will practice techniques that re-balance your nervous system to alleviate both short and long term stress, while developing personal awareness of your mind and body.
In the evenings you will flow with creative vinyasa yoga practices which are gentle, yet dynamic. This type of practice helps to release tension from your body, whilst building strength and flexibility. Each day will close with guided meditation.
Throughout the week you will have your own free time for rest and relaxation within the natural surroundings. Guests are welcome to relax by the pool or enjoy the gardens of the property.
Maria and Violet are great friends who share their passion for yoga, meditation and art. They are committed to helping others through their practice.
Maria spent 7 years mastering a multitude of yoga and meditation techniques and specialises in Creative Vinyasa Flow yoga, Guided Meditation & Pranayama (breathing techniques). She has spent time in Mexico, South Africa and London in order to gain a broad understanding of how yoga and meditation can expand the mind and improve physical health & emotional wellbeing.

Violet is an experienced yoga teacher, currently based in West London after having lived and worked in over ten countries. Originally from South India, yoga has been an integral part of Violet’s life since childhood. Her practice includes budokon and vinyasa flow yoga, Sanskrit chanting and meditation.
Violet was Maria’s yoga teacher for a long period of time and consequently inspired Maria to become an instructor. Prior to becoming a yoga instructor, Violet was a fashion designer in the Bollywood film industry. During this time, Violet had been suffering with chronic back pain (degenerated disk disease/sciatica) for some time. To alleviate the pain, Violet delved deeper into her yoga practice and the benefits she received inspired her to share her positive experience with others.
The villa is situated on a large plot of 2000m² with wonderful landscaped gardens, large porch and barbecue areas and a splendid swimming pool. The villa itself comprises two living rooms with fireplace, four bedrooms bathrooms, a beautiful large kitchen with fireplace, and an office. The whole house has Wi-Fi which is available to use at no extra cost.
In the local surroundings, you will have the option to walk along the river or visit the local Roman ruins. Other optional excursions are available, enabling you to explore the wonderful Spanish landscape and surroundings of Madrid’s countryside. The villa is a 40-minute drive from central Madrid and the airport. There is a cafe/bar within 500 metres walk, and a nice restaurant just 1km away.
